Achieving what you want appears quite simple on the surface:
Set your sights on what you want to achieve.
Make a plan.
Follow the plan.
1, 2, 3 – easy; except for step 3.
We all know that step 3 is where we fail, and eventually abandon our dreams and goals. In fact, in the long run, step 3 is virtually the only reason we fail.
To get rid of this spoiler, take the following step. It will make all the difference, even if you’ve failed many times in the past:
Only set goals of true significance. It’s just that simple.
Only goals of true significance can motivate us long enough to have the tenacity it takes to hang in there when we feel like quitting. When we aim at things we are passionate about, there is no need to devise ways to make sure we carry through – we simply will. Even writing such things down is optional as they are imprinted on our being.
So focus on goals of real significance to you. Drop all the others, and forget about failure; it’s taken care of.
P.S. – If you are a mentor or coach others, share this and help another to open up to the true direction they should be taking!
